Merrymeeting Food Council, the Merrymeeting Gleaners, and UMaine Cooperative Extension will be at the Collaboratory to answer your questions about how to get involved with your local food system, gleaning, and more! Please stop by!
Local Bounty celebrates the importance of local food to our community: its historic impact, its continued need, and our access hurdles. Come join us at open office hours and story times to learn how teams and books are exploring some of our community’s food-related challenges. Ask these leaders the questions you’ve always wondered. Example queries include:
How have our region’s food system and your organization changed?
Is it more helpful to give my garden produce or money?
How can I volunteer with my special skill?
What future changes do you expect?
Are there ways I can mitigate my risk?
