New England Food System Innovation Challenge


November 9-11, 2018 at St Josephs College in Standish, Maine. This will be our 4th year.

This event promotes local agriculture and local food. The goal of the Challenge is to bring together teams that have ideas about an enterprise that would increase production, improve processing, aggregation, or increase marketing of locally produced food. Teams come to the event with an idea and lawyers, marketing services, business persons, etc. are provided to help the teams work up their ideas into a presentation to be given Sunday afternoon, Nov. 11, to a set of judges (open to the public). In the past, approximately $100,000 in cash and in kind support has been raised to get the best ideas up and running. There are two divisions- public (enterprise) and college teams.
