Early Bird Registration and Scholarship Applications for NE Farm to Institution Summit

The 2019 New England Farm to Institution Summit will bring together 500+ people who are leveraging the power of institutions to transform our food system. Join us for up to three exciting days of learning, sharing, exploring and connecting.

The 2019 New England Farm to Institution Summit is designed for food service operators, people who work at institutions, and local food advocates as well as farmers, processors, and distributors. The goal is to maximize collective impact and overcome challenges to buying more local food. The summit will feature programming that focuses on farm to school, farm to campus, and farm to health care, as well as cross-sector themes.

If you would like to attend but find the registration fee a barrier, Maine Farm to Institution wants to help Mainers get there! Through generous support from the Elmina B. Sewall Foundation, MEFTI has a limited number of registration scholarships (at the early bird rate - first come, first served with a priority for those experiencing a hardship in attending the summit). All MEFTI asks of scholarship recipients in return is that you commit to participate (in person or remotely) in at least one follow-up gathering at a later date where Mainers can debrief, share, and prioritize next steps for farm to institution in Maine.

Early Bird Registration ends March 1. You may still request a scholarship after the March 1 deadline (if there are any available) through the final registration deadline of March 22, but the scholarship amount will be at the Early Bird rate. The scholarship covers the cost of registration only. Scholarship recipients are responsible for their own transportation and lodging. MEFTI may facilitate some form of carpooling as the event draws nearer.
