A Community Conversation…

The Merrymeeting Food Council and Curtis Memorial Library invite you to a community conversation to discuss existing and potential efforts to address barriers to food access in our communities. 

Four short presentations will be followed by time for networking and discussion. Presentations will cover:

Community Barriers to Food Access: Assessment Results - Jamie Pacheco/Merrymeeting Food Council,

Hunger Vital Signs: Recognizing Food Insecurity in Healthcare Settings - Melissa Fochesato/Mid Coast Hospital & Access Health

Lunch with Friends: Bringing a Community Together Through Shared Meals - Surrey Hardcastle & Peg Orlando/Harpswell Aging at Home

Making a Change in Backpack Programs: Getting Healthier Food to Families - Hannah Chatalbash/ Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program
