Food Fuels Learning Community Celebration!

Join Food Fuels Learning and Parent University for this fun, interactive, family-friendly event!

There will be delicious food provided by Wayside Food Programs and fabulous speakers including:
-Portland Public Schools Superintendent, Xavier Botana
School Board Chair, Roberto Rodriguez
-Maine Harvest of the Month Coordinator, Jenn So
-School Nurse, Becky Bell

There will be exciting updates from all of our community-based action groups about their food security work. Here's a sneak peak of what the action groups will be featuring in addition to updates:

-Charitable Foods: Take home FREE fruits and vegetables thanks to a fresh food distribution from The Locker Project

-Federal Nutrition Programs: Taste tests that include recipes with locally grown tomatoes from Central Kitchen

-School Gardens: Container gardening demos (plant and take home your very own tomato plant!)

-Nutrition Education: Cooking demonstrations featuring tomatoes and ride on a blender bike!

-Sustainable Practices: Sorting station to practice proper recycling and composting
